On October 14th this year, The Neuroblastoma Society supported the the second in what is hoped will now be a biennial series of scientific meetings. The "2011 Neuroblastoma Research Symposium: future treatments for high risk neuroblastoma" was held at the Institute of Child Health in London in collaboration with SIOPEN (International Society of Paediatric Oncology European Neuroblastoma) and the UK CCLG (Children's Cancer and Leukaemia Group). Invited international speakers spoke in three themed sessions - on immunotherapy, gene and micro-RNA signatures of neuroblastoma, and new treatments. In addition there were shorter talks chosen from submitted talk abstracts and a poster session.
